Electronic Cigarettes – Are They Safe?

Electronic Cigarettes - Are They Safe?

The nicotine inside the cartridges may cause a direct addiction. When you quit using it, you can get withdrawal symptoms including feeling irritable, depressed, worried and anxious.

It can be risky for people with heart problems. It may also harm your arteries over time.

But far, the carried out trials show that e-cigarettes may be safer than classic cigarettes. The greatest danger from tobacco is the smoke, and e-cigarettes don’t burn.

In addition, we must admit that unlike other nicotine replacement therapies (such as gum, patches, and nicotine inhalers), the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) does not regulate e-cigarettes, though that may soon change.

Investigations show the levels of dangerous chemicals they give off are a fraction of what you’d inhale from a real cigarette. But what’s in them (the content) can vary. E-cigarettes are being marketed just like cigarettes were in the past. They represent a pure satisfaction for smokers, for those smokers who claim to know everything about cigarettes.

Experts say, e-cigarettes could be seen as “a godsend” for the tobacco industry. With cigarette companies marketing e-cigarettes, there isn’t the hard competition between e-cigarettes and cigarettes that would likely reduce tobacco-smoking.

Tobacco companies can advertise e-cigarettes – effectively showing lots of pictures of people, basically smoking. They are enjoying this new unbelievable tobacco product.
